Dungeons are Soon

 Hello everyone and welcome to another article. We have a special one today! In this article, we will be talking about the ever-nearing 1.0.0 also called, the Dungeons Update. This update will be one of OR’s biggest updates and a huge transition from beta to full release! Let’s get right into it!

Repeating History?

 So how did we get here? Well, Origin Realms has had a history with delays but not without reason. The first delay was when OR was first going to release back in the Summer of 2020. This delay was due to the challenges and the bigger vision OR had for their server. Eventually, however, OR did come through and 6 months later, at the end of the year, we got Alpha at the end of the year and then Beta in the very beginning of 2021.

 Now, a few updates after beta, the OR devs hinted at the big and coveted 1.0.0, which would include huge generation changes, new mobs, items, a player leveling system through badges, and the prized feature of dungeons with new major relics. The goal of 1.0.0 was to release in 2021 by the end of the year. This, however, did not happen. What appears and was told to us that happened was that dungeons were too big and grand to be sustainable to make the same proportions at a steady rate. This meant a whole rework of dungeons in their length and size. OR was working on dungeons along with these other features mentioned above so instead of waiting for dungeons, we slowly have gotten these features over the past 6 months. This leads us to the present where dungeons could be repeating the release of alpha and beta in time of delay.

Evidence for Soon

 The Evidence for dungeons points to a rather close date, so let's talk about it. We've first been told directly from the Admin that 0.20.0 is the last major update before dungeons, with 1.0.0 being the next major update. Updates are usually not far from each other either with the biggest gap being 2 months.

 The next thing, which could very well be correlated, is the new Orbit Plush. This cute little plush sheds a little more light on how we are at the grasp of 1.0.0. In the description, this plush is OR's transition from beta to full release, meaning 1.0.0 should be very close to this.

 Lastly, we have a message from the admin himself, Eraze. We'll talk more about the beginning of this specific message in another article but we are going to hyper-focus on this one part of it. (Disclaimer: What admins say isn't always fact because  we are all human and humans make mistakes so don't hold this over any admins head or else Yeti will be mad 😁 thank you):

Our first dungeon experience will be finished and released within the first half of this year, and we expect after that point, we'll be able to spin them up quite easily, as all the hard work is already done. -Eraze

 Again take this with the HUGEST grain of salt you've ever had, but this does narrow our timeline a bit which leads to our next section...

How soon?

 With all the evidence we talk about previously, the 183rd day of the year, is the line between the first and last halves of the year is July 2nd, 2022 which we suspect to be the release date. This is around 3-4 weeks from the release of this article meaning dungeons are SUPER SOON! I, PaintedYeti, am predicting an announcement for 1.0.0 dungeons in the next week or two, with it being out in one to two weeks after said announcement, almost or perfectly aligning with around the last days of the middle of the year. I can say with almost 100% certainty that dungeons will be coming this Summer so be ready!!!

Something to Come

 This concludes most of this article, but we do want to tease something... This Thursday, we are going to have a whole article talking about everything we know so far about 1.0.0 and what's to be excited for this or next month! We hope to see you reading there but for now, Yeti out.
